Annual Antique-A-Thon:
The Carteret County Historical Society will be holding their annual Antique-A-Thon, a popular event that takes place each year in North Carolina. Many experts will be on hand, providing information and appraisals of your family heirlooms and flea market finds. Food will be served and a silent auction will also be held. A wine and cheese party follows.
Location and Hours:
- Held annually, the first Saturday in November.
- Located in History Place.
- 1008 Arendell Street, Morehead City, NC.
- Hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- A free wine and cheese party follows the event, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
General Information:
- More than 20 experts from North Carolina will be on hand to appraise and evaluate your trinkets and treasures.
- Breakfast will be served throughout the morning hours. Hot dogs and a variety of desserts will be served in the afternoon.
- Restrooms are available.
- The event is held indoors, rain or shine.
- The silent auction will have more than 200 items going to the highest bidder. Items include jewelry, furniture, antiques, paintings and more. Bids will be taken until 4:00 p.m. November 1st, 2008.
- Free wine and cheese party follows the event.
- All proceeds benefit the History Place, a non-profit organization.
Admission and Parking Fees:
- A $5 donation is accepted for every two items brought in for expert appraisals and evaluations.
- Plenty of free parking is available.
